Method & transparency

How we track stock (and why you can trust it)

Selling stock alerts only makes sense if the data is honest. This page explains exactly where the information comes from, how often we check it, and what we do when we don't have it. We're an independent project, unaffiliated with Midea or the retailers.

Real data, never simulated

We read availability directly from each tracked retailer's public pages, automatically and throughout the day. Every reading is timestamped. We don't estimate or fill gaps: if we don't have the data, it shows blank — never invented.

Which sources we track now

  • Amazon.es — the channel where the PortaSplit sells out fastest.
  • GroupSumi — official Midea reseller, with stock and price on the listing itself.
  • Ventigo and Tu Climatización Online — specialist HVAC shops.
  • El Corte Inglés (store by store) — coming soon, via a residential proxy.

How we validate a reading

We match on the exact product reference, not a similar title. We check the price is plausible and reject absurd values. If a retailer blocks us, we show 'no data' rather than guessing a status.

Real time is reserved for the alert

The public dashboard is intentionally about 30 minutes behind. That margin is what gives the paid alert its value: subscribers are told before the data is public. It's a transparent model, not a trick.

Independence and affiliation

Some retailer links are affiliate links (e.g. Amazon.es) and may earn us a commission at no cost to you. That commission never changes what we show or the order of retailers: they're sorted by availability and price, never by commission.
