Why it goes so fast
When the Met Office issues a heat warning, the portable that disturbs the least — 3.5 kW of cooling, no fixed outdoor unit and around 39 dB(A) — is also the one that disappears first. The PortaSplit (sold in the UK as the electriQ PortaSplit) ticks exactly those boxes, so every spike in the forecast drives a wave of orders while restocks stay small. It is a very specific model against demand that piles up in a handful of hot days.
Where it's reappearing
Restocks have been landing in short bursts with no fixed pattern. In the UK the sources worth watching are Appliances Direct, which tends to carry it directly, and Amazon.co.uk, where it sells through fastest. A couple of specialist air-treatment shops list it too. None of them can promise a date; what differs is how often each one tops up stock, which is exactly what our radar is built to surface.
How not to miss it
Refreshing half a dozen tabs by hand rarely works: by the time you see 'in stock', it often isn't. Our radar checks all those sources continuously and shows the time of the last check, no sign-up needed. Set an email alert on top and we'll message you within minutes of spotting stock — with the retailer, a direct link and the price seen — before it shows on the public board. In a short restock, that head start is the whole game.
Alert me when it's back in stock
We'll email you the moment the PortaSplit is available again anywhere. It usually sells out within minutes.
